bid for ulloa accepted by brighton for around 7m probably with add-ons aswell, hopefully will be a decent addition up top for the foxes. let's hope he does better than are previous record signing! .

Nice one city, good signing nigel, that's what we wanna seeat our beloved club. would love it now if we got couple more in before our big kick off; 5 weeks yet. any 1 in mind? in nige we trust [fickle or what?] just happy, I love you leicester I do oh leicester I love you

2.) 18 Jul 2014
Well at least it's another signing at last. Still think we are going to need to pay something similar for a Premiership experienced midfielder. If James or Drinkwater, (or both), get injured we are in deep doo doo. With no midfield it really doesn't matter how good your strikers are!

3.) 18 Jul 2014
Signing a Championship player for the Premier League is bad trouble. The only way is down and not up. No premier league experience means difficulty to find the back of the net against Everton, your first opponents

4.) 18 Jul 2014
We may have paid over the odds but I think ulloa will be a good signing.we needed someone to get on the end of all the crosses albrighton will be putting in. Above poster is right we do need a quality midfielder!

5.) 18 Jul 2014
I agree, Think ulloa will be a great addition and its just the kind of player we need up top in the PL, Still worried about that left back position though think it definitely needs some quality bringing in there.

Has he signed yet thought the bid had been accepted and was talking to his agent depends on how much he wants methinks. jimlcfc

Not sure it's really all that bleak in midfield - we have James and Drinkwater as first choice but have Hammond (ex-Southampton) and King waiting in the wings - King has been worthy of a spot in the premiership for years and the 'lack of premiership experience' quoted above is not strictly true either as half of our team came through at premiership sides, and many came through at Manchester United and have very much lived the premiership experience before winning the league last season - the 'step up' that is often spoken about will be more like a step back for many of our players - after all, Guppy, Lennon and Izzet came from premier academies but hadn't any actual playing time at that level before they came to Leicester. Not sure we need that many more players to come in at all; obviously the more strength in depth that we have the better and I would like to see Nick Powell come in from Manchester United too - obviously he knows Drinkwater, James, De Laet, Barmby and Rowley from Manchester United and also has quite a lot of playing time under his belt in the championship and I'd maybe also like to see Micheal Keane come back but apart from that, I think we will surprise a lot of people. 7 million rising to 10 million.

when you look at the likes of demba ba for 4.7mill
salamon kalou 3.0 million
does it really look like a good buy when you compare ulloa to them players?
i know wages would be a problem but when you total everything up over 2 years it would cost around the same.
the worst case is if brighton buy chris wood for around 2 million they would be getting a similar player to ulloa and effectively 8 million pounds for free.

9.) 22 Jul 2014
So no premier league experience means a bad signing. can someone let me know how players get premier league experience without playing in it? i'm puzzled.

10.) 22 Jul 2014
Oh dear. what a waste of money. remy is going for 8.5m, lambert went for 4m - both are twice the player of our record signing. what are you playing at nigel? he wasnt even prolific in the championship. someones guna be sacked by christmas.

11.) 22 Jul 2014
If it rises to £10m then it will be worth it because he will have done something right most add ons are for surviving relegation, goals, or apps. Fulham paid £11m for mccormack who won't have the season he has just had, watford are valuing deeney at £7-10m, teams are asking way over odds for players.

12.) 23 Jul 2014
Im sorry but its not a great signing. we need premiership quality players. not championship players.

13.) 24 Jul 2014
People getting so negative! In nige u have to trust, has he wasted any money on previous signings? Remember oneils signings? Million plus on players from championship! Ulloa may or may not do it for us next season only time will tell. I for one back nige to the hilt and can't wait for the season to start.

14.) 24 Jul 2014
And it's Top's fault they're holding out for 10million - he's already told them he's got millions to spend, if he'd kept his trap shut we might have got Ulloa for half the price

15.) 26 Jul 2014
Yeah, it's Tops fault that SKY (among others) have made it public knowledge that promotion to the PL is worth around £120m to the sides coming up. If only they'd have whispered it instead of telling everyone who already knew eh. *******s

16.) 12 Aug 2014
Yes it's so bad that transfer fees have inflated mainly due to Ross Mccormack to Fulham and his price tag but you have to think about these high profile players and their wages yes Remy will be 8 million but on triple of what Ulloa is on. 8 million plus 90k a week compared to 8 million plus 30k a week. Plus its about squad harmony and togetherness, players wouldn't be happy if they are playing alongside a players whos on triple what they are as it wouldn't be fair.
